Question to WLS members
I am going to have RNY 8/13 and have a few questions. Think I have been reading too much. Anyway...the question I have is to the "odor" after surgery. What can you do about it and does it go away? Since I am in a "service" field at work this bothers me. I don't want it to affect my job with the so called "odor". Please advise. Thanks to all.
Greetings...
Really don' t know what to tell you because I have no idea what "odor" you are referring to... I had this surgery Sept 15th , 2003 and have not had this problem at all.. Are you thinking of "gas"? Take the Phazyme and that takes care of gas problems.. but taking a daily shower and using that wonderful "shower to shower" powder.... is the answer for me...
Wishing you success and happiness on this wonderful journey you are about to undertake.. Hugs, Fran
I guess I wasn't very straight forward in my question. It is to the gas and BM odors that some people say their spouses leave the bedroom to sleep because of it. And....that they do not want to go in public restrooms because of the oder of their bm's etc. Wanted to know what you could do about it and it if was, indeed, something everybody had. Thanks...
Hey Jocelyn...There have been many days when my poor Hubby and I suffer from my bad choices!!! Seriously though I figured out that the reason I get that way is I'm eating too many carbs...if I keep my count to where I need to have it I have NO problems what so ever...Your level will be different from anybody elses so it really is kind of a "trial by fire" type thing.
Best wishes on your surgery...keep asking questions!!!
