6 month anniversary!!!!

Tomorrow is my 6 month anniversary!!!! I'm posting and updating my profile a day early because tomorrow I have my 6-mo. check up and will be in Topeka most of the day. Drum roll........ ........... ........... I'm -97 lbs! Those last pesky 3 just wouldn't go away but that just gives me another reason to celebrate, hopefully soon. Month 6 wasn't particularly easy. I lost 6 lbs. in the first 8 days and 6 pounds in the last 8 days of the month (my month from 18th to 17th). In between I STALLED! But pulled out a 12 lb. loss for the month with my monthly losses as follows: Month 1- 24 lbs. Month 2- 21 lbs. Month 3- 12 lbs Month 4- 12 lbs. Month 5- 15 lbs. Month 6- 12 lbs. As you can see, I'm fairly consistent month by month! I'm 38 lbs. from dr.s goal and hope to reach that by my 10 mo. anniversary which will also be my birthday. I'm an additional 15-20 from my own goal which I hope to reach by my 1 year anniversary. I'm typically walking 5 miles a day now, though some days only 2.5 miles. I'm not straying from my eating plan......protein first, fruits and veggies. No bread, limited carbs, about 100 oz of sf fluid a day. I am COMMITTED to getting where I want to be. Even though people tell me I look good now, I am not stopping till goal.....then working hard to maintain. My dr. says the "window" of opportunity is 6 mo....I agree that it is already getting tougher but I will not stop here! I'm wearing 16's or Larges mostly. I do still "look" at bigger sizes out of habit but am getting better about that. I have gotten rid of most of my "too big" things and have been shopping at Thrift Stores and Ebay to keep me in clothes for the time being. My most shining moment so far.......last Saturday when my step-son came home from Iraq to see MUCH LESS of me.....he was very surprised. His wife also hadn't seen me since a couple weeks after surgery and was totally amazed and wonderfully supportive. And......my husband's ex had also not seen me and she has always been mean and hateful toward me (though they were divorced for years before I even met my hubby)....and "had" to look at me in this much thinner state in a hot pink blouse. Yes, I loved every minute of it! Am I glad I had this surgery???? No words can describe it. It literally has given me my life back. It was the best decision I've ever made short of loving the Lord (who deserves ALL the glory for all of this), marrying my hubby and having my babies. Love you all, Jenni
