question about insurance

My insurance wants proof that I was on dr's supervised weight loss for a year. I was on phen fen, but I went out of state to get the drugs. I don't even know the name of the doctor that I went to. It's been over 8 years. Do you think that they might not be so strict on that issue if I pass everything else that they are wanting.

I was on phen fen in Blackwell, OK also. I didn't have any prescription records, etc just input the year that I took the medicine and said Blackwell Weight Loss Center, Blackwell, OK. The insured (I have FiServ) took this alright and didn't need any other proof. I was okayed for surgery with the first letter that Liv-Lite sent to them.
