Bad day???
What do you do when you've had a really bad day and all you want is comfort food - just like all those old bad habits. Now you know that IF you do it, you WILL be sick, but that doesn't stop you from thinking about it. So what's the solution?? Any good (realistic) ideas? (Please don't tell me to go for a walk and I will feel magically all better.)

No. Going for a walk is not going to make you feel magically better. As a
Counselor I would tell you, just as any other of my clients, to go ahead and think about these things, you can't stop thinking that's impossible. But since you already know what will happen if you do give in, the likely hood is that you won't. The thing to do is find an activity, other than walking, like going to a movie, putting a movie on your DVD or VCR and snuggle up with some jello squares. The trick is not giving in to cravings and notforcing yourself to do something you don't want to do, just do something different to occuppy your time and thoughts. Cravings usually don't last long, but they can be very strong and uncomfortable. Call Somebody you haven't talked to in a long time, do some crafts work or write yourself a story. These are all creative and distracting.
