Frustrated in Hutch

Hey everyone. I feel like I have been jumping through hoops for months. I am having my surgery done in Wichita. I just had to go through two months of preop class, psych eval, diet consult, preop physical, and have to lose 20-40 lbs before surgery and I still have to wait 1-2 months before I can even get a date to see the surgeon. I know it will be worth it in the end but boy am I frustrated. I have been working on this since Dec 03. Hopefully the time will go by a little bit faster. I still have to have 12 weeks of post op class after the surgery. Thanks for listening. Mary

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Why don't you come to the support group meeting in Hutch @ Hutch Hospital on 5\27 @ 6:30pm-8ish in room c in the basement for some support to get you through this ruff time. Angie

I remember that frustrating time so well, and I can sympathize with you. I had to jump through hoops also. I started all my "stuff" last July and finally got to have my surgery in December. Hang in there sweetie - all will work out and you will be on the losing side before you know it! Cherie

Sorry to hear of your trouble. I remember how trying it was to have my life in someone elses hands(insurance). The time before my surgery seemed to take forever. Just know that i'm thinking of you and praying for you, keep your head up. Take care

Thanks I really do need all the prayers I can get. I hopefully only have one more hoop to jump through and that's the last half of my psych eval. Then hopefully I will get my appointment with the surgeon. I really do hope time will fly for now. lol I really appreciate all the responses I have gotten back. It's kind of nice to talk to people who have gone through the same stuff that I have.
