Brenda, the first dr. visit is not anything to be overly nervous about. It is exciting because it means you are moving forward on the journey. Mainly he (she) just assesses you medically and tells you some things about the surgery. I don't know who you're going to but if you're going to Tallgrass, they are great surgeons and great people too (as are others in the state). I had Dr. Steward and so am partial to him but the ones that have Dr. Bernstein and Dr. Dunshee also like them typically. I think it IS important to have some comfort with your doc. Mainly, it is just talking and a short med. exam. You'll be fine. Jenni

I agree with Jenni!! Nothing to worry about. They are such compassionate kind Drs. (at least Dr. Steward is and I am pretty sure it is true of the whole group). Just have your quesitons ready so you know any details you need to. It is such an exciting journey!! Alice
