the wait

well i'm just waiting for the 19th to roll around. did anyone see the piece on nbc news on the 1st. what are they trying to do? scare those who are thinking about this procedure into believing that nothing but butchers and money grubbers in on this surgery. true there may well be such out there, but a lot of the doctors doing these operations are good dedicated pros. if were not careful this will be just another reason for the insurance companies to denie payment. or maybe we can just do it the oprah way of losing weight, except that we'll all need about 4000 dollars extra a week for the personal trainer, cook, massuer. stylist. and i suppose a "fat fluffer" as well. i wish the those who don't need or want this procedure leave the decisions to those of us who want it and need it, as well as our doctors. sorry guys just had to vent for a few minutes.

Wow is the 19th your surgery date??? That's not too far off!! Sorry I laughed out loud when I read about your fat fluffer LOL I need one of those for me and my cat,, she's sorta chubby too =o) Yes I did see the piece on the news last nite I was on hte phone with my mom at the time and we hung up watched and called back,, she asked me,, " well are you scared now?" and I said NO,, I have done my research and have alot of confidance in the ppl at Tallgrass, and confidace in my own decission. And actually speaking of Oprah I saw her show yesterday not sure if it was a current show or re run,, but she put back on weight. So anyway,,, I am here with ya!!!! B

when i'm in jc give me a call. my wife has to go back to st. louis for a few days so i'll be pretty much by myself. hope your surgery goes great with little or no pain, and a quick recovery. don't be a afraid to use the pca pump when avaible to you. just keep in mind that things will get better fast afterwards. so good luck to you.

I'm new and have been reading your posts with great interest and wishing you all the best. Have any of you used the services of Dr. Udobi at KUMC? I have my first appointment with him on May 21st. I'm happy and secure with my choice of surgeons. I'd like to hear from anyone who had Dr. Udobi as their surgeon? Thanks so much and a great day to you all. ;)

OHH Stephen... I'm still gigglin' about the "Fat Fluffer"...I wonder how you get that job???? I agree with you though..it just shouldn't be left up to those who have no clue!!!
