Surgery Date!

I will be having my surgery at 1:00 p.m. on March 11, 2004 in Topeka! I feel like it's been a long road but I know that a lot of people have had a lot longer road to getting to have the surgery. Now that I actually have a date and a pre-op date scheduled it seems like it's so close and yet so far away. Only 25 more days until my pre-op and then 13 more days for surgery. I couldn't have come this far if it weren't for the wonderful ladies at the Hutchinson support group. Deanna, you have been awesome! I am so blessed to have met everyone there and I look forward to sharing my weight loss journey with them. You guys are AWESOME!!! Even after all the research I have done and continue to do I suddenly feel so TOTALLY unprepared for the surgery. I have been going over everything I have learned and I keep thinking "There is NO way I will ever remember all this stuff after I have surgery". I know that's not true but it's still kind of scary. I am so afraid that in spite of all that I have learned that I will fail at this weight loss attempt too, that it will be like all the other hundreds of things I have tried. I think the reason it scares me so much is to know that this is IT. If this fails, there is nothing left. I know though that I have a wonderful support system and a great bunch of friends in Hutch who will be there with me along the way. I can't wait to be on the other side and be a post-op! I am so happy for you Carrie!!!! I know youll do great. Guess what! They changed my tt and br lift surgery from the 9th of March to Feb 24! So I wont see you after the meeting on the 27th for dinner. Take care. Angie Lewis
