Hello Everyone!

How is everyone? I have seen quite a few posts lately. I haven't been on line in a while and I see that people have been on line. GREAT to see! Well about me...I feel really well. A little tired, I am low on iron, nothing new to me but it does wear me out. I have been feeling so much better I have finally decided to go back to college. Will take me forever, but I have more energy now than I did before my surgery to tackle it. I also have better self esteem. When talking to one of my sisters the other day she said that my losing weight was motivating her to lose because I looked so pretty. That really cracked me up! I asked her if I looked like an ogre before!!! hahahahaha. There have been people at work that will walk past me, come back and apologize because they weren't sure it was me. I don't see that big of a difference. I know I wear all new clothes, but I bought the same kind only smaller. If I don't compare pictures of me, I don't see a difference. I just see me. I wasn't quite ready for the short shorts and the spaghetti straps this Christmas, maybe next year!! You guys all sound like you are doing great! I really miss you all when I don't hear from you. I imagine you are all saying, we haven't heard from you Brenda! I am so glad that everyone is doing so well that they are busy living their lives!!!! Take care everyone, Have a GREAT New Year! Brenda, So great to hear from you! Woo hoo it's a marathon of hearing from people we haven't heard from in a long time. Those dang holidays just pinch out so much time from everyone! Congrats on going back to college!! That's such a huge deal, working, having a family and going to college. I get happy for anyone doing it. Even though I don't have kids, I went back and finished my undergrad work 10 years after graduating from high school (not as long as some, but long enough still), worked 50+ hours a week (overnights no less) and was married throughout. It was great, once I started I didn't stop until I had finished grad school. My hubbie's support really helped make a difference in all that I do (damn I love that man!). It was one of the best things I've ever done for myself. Right up there with WLS! As far as it taking you forever to finish, you will still grow a year older with each passing year whether you are in college or not, so don't worry about how long it takes to complete. That's great about people not recognizing you and you motivating a sister to lose weight too! Amazing that we continue to see ourselves as us pre-op, but other people are seeing the big changes both physical and emotional in us. I am just starting to realize that my face is different looking, still haven't gotten there with the body, but almost there with the face. So glad to hear that you are doing well and putting your new found energy towards a new venture in your life. Congrats!!! Big hugs, Sharon

hiya Brenda, Good to see you again!!! Wow you have alot going on. Congratulations on going back to college, I'm so proud of you!!!!! Yahoo.. Brenda.. you are such a motivator.. and college too?!!!! Fantastic.. what a year you have had and an even better one ahead for you !!! So good to hear from you, wasn't sure what had happened or where you were.. all is well here too and losing those inches.. pounds seem to stick around but the inches disappear.. thank heavens. YEAH YOU!!!!! You're doin' sooo GREAT!!!! I'm really impressed with your decision to go back to school...too awesome!!! We really have missed you around here..maybe now that the holidays are over we'll all get back to the boards a little. Why not go for the gusto next year and shoot for the Bikini top and THONG!!!!!
