Surgery was Monday the 22nd, out of the hospital on Wednesday the 24th and went to my Dad's house for a few days, then finally home today! It feels so good to be home, I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed!! Still a little sore, but doing well. I think I dumped on my protein drink Friday night, which was absolutely miserable, but felt much better on Saturday. Staples and drain come out on Tuesday and I imagine that will make a world of difference. I can't believe I am FINALLY a LOSER!!! The support I have received from people all over the country via this website has been absolutely amazing....don't know if I would have had the courage to go through with this without all you wonderful role models. Can't thank you enough!! cherie

Cherie, I know just what you are talking about....since I've just had the experience myself. Today is actually my first real whole day home myself since my Dec. 18 surgery. Hope you feel better each day like I have. I took a relatively brisk 15 min. walk today and it felt wonderful. Each day gets better! Jenni

Wooohoooooooo Cherie you loser you!!!!! Congratulations hon! Welcome to the losing side, you're doing so great! You will feel lots better when the staples come out. Remember to walk and drink water...that's the most important thing right now. Best wishes to you! (((hugs)))) and smiles =)))

Cherie, Congrats and welcome to the other side!! I admit that I simply HATED the G-tube. I swore if I had to keep the thing in just one more day, I was going to personally pull the thing out myself! Enjoy the ride you've started for yourself, it will only get better! Big hugs, Sharon
