Hi everyone, I'm really doing great! (I think, anyway! LOL!) Had my post op appt. yesterday and lost 14 lbs. since surgery day, though I was weighed on a different scale at the hosp. and I really think it might have weighed a little heavier, none-the-less, that's what I'm counting....14 lbs.! Woo Hoo! I also feel really good.....getting ready to go to my niece's wedding in a little while. Didn't originally think I could make it to the reception too, but I think I have enough energy to do that.....we'll see. I have not been hungery, but since getting onto full liquid have been working hard to get protein in. I am not a protein shake gal! Yucko! Mostly I'm adding non-fat dry milk to soups. I really feel the protein is going to help give me my energy back even more. I'm still a little sore but that gets better each day. I'm going to try to get going on my walking tomorrow....short ones at first. So far the furthest I've gone is a block and then back but I think I can pu**** a little more than that. Well, that's it for now! Thanks again for all your encouagement! I can't believe I'm a "POSTIE" now....so grateful to God it is behind me, that I'm feeling good and that the lbs. are coming off! Bless you all! Jenni

hey Jenni: I am so glad you are home and doing well. I knew you would. See---I told you it wasn't too bad.!lol And you are through Christmas, and all the temptations. I can tell you one thing, YOU do NOT want to dump--It is terrible. If you do it once, you won't do it again. watch your diet, keep carbs down, that is hard--breakfast is the worst for me. I am not a breakfast eater, but the only thing I can find to eat is eggs, and I am about egged out!! I tried the protein shakes, and they are YUK! and I really don't want sweet things, it seems like in all the "cookbooks" for posties, things are swee****ch your protein intake, it is important. I was kind of looking forward to loosing hair, I have a lot, but so far--no big loss. I have lost over 30# now, I really can tell a big difference in the way I walk. I am planning to join the gym--but it is 18 miles, and you know KS weather!!. Would be a nice place to go if I am in town. Got to run, Love to hear from you. Hugs, Ginny Graham
