My first time posting but have been lurking for over a year. Have gone through the process to get insurance approval and no luck (employer written exclusion). Really need to have this done as co-morbids just keep getting worse. I am a registered nurse and so have some flexibility job-wise. Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find a job that has insurance that will cover WLS? I can't move right now but I am willing to change employers just to have the surgery!!!!! I need to stay in the northeast corner of Kansas or even in Missouri (Kansas City area). I would appreciate any help any of you could give me. P.S. Self pay is out of the question right now. Too many college expenses for family.

Well I work south of KC and I am in the process of getting insurance approval now. I've been told with medical necessity it will be approved, but I await the official approval. If I get the approval, (or should I say when?) I would be happy to let you know if/when we have a RN opening - we don't have many openings because we truly have a fantastic facility here, but will be happy to keep my ears open for you. Don't give up!!
