Have you talked with your insurance company to see if your surgeon is one of their "preferred" Docs??? From what I've heard and experienced with my insurances, they will usually cover whatever your doing but just not as much if your Doc isn't in their "network". I would just call up and check it out...Lots of luck and "SKINNY WISHES"!!! OH, what made you pick the BTC??? Just curious!!

Hi Debbie, and welcome to the Kansas Message Board. Out of curiousity, did you look into the Liv-Lite Program in Junction City? That would sure be a lot closer for you and they are FANTASTIC! Everything that you said in your post about the BTC center is also true of the Liv-Lite program. Just a thought... if you have any questions about the Liv-Lite program there are a lot of folks on this board that can answer your questions. I am using them (Surgery date 8/28) so I can't testify yet as to actual hospital care but I can tell you that they have helped me 100% of the way and are very caring, understanding and dedicated to WLS patients! Email me if you'd like! Dawn

Hi Debbi: I tried the Junction City Liv-Lite but was unable to go to them for insurance reasons. I have BCBS. So I am going to Kane, PA facility (liv-lite as well). NO problems at all with insurance as it is federal. Approved after first letter. Had pre op completed, paid $190 oop and have surgery scheduled for September 8th. All are preferred docs and facilities. I will be going to Junction City for post op.
