I'm the same way as far as supplements.

I applaud you for wanting to do your own homework it seems many don't want to bother. Not me I was like you and glad that I was. As you do your research please be aware how important the aftercare is with these surgeries. It seems to be a common oversight til it is too late. It is such a lifestyle change it is very important to have a good source of support and information and professional care post-op.

And yes it is a whole different procedure as used to be. So don't let some of the horror stories frighten you. Seemed when I was considering WLS everyone knew 'someone' who had a very bad experience. And was more than willing to scare the crap out of me sharing it. Also don't let all the commercials on TV influence your choice. Cause if they are spending all that money on commercials maybe their patient 'word of month' isn't so good or they wouldn't need to be advertising? Just my thoughts anyway.

If I can help you or answer any questions feel free to private message me. I am all about paying it forward.

Thanks.  Yeah, there is a lot of information out there.  I'm not one to follow the pack just cuz everyone else is.  I never dreamt I would have a 2nd chance, and you can bet I'm going to make the very best out of this opportunity.

Dr. Timothy Sifers did my original surgery and there was really no after-care.  Not sure its his fault persay, but other than follow ups to ensure there were no medical issues I was pretty much on my own.  I held my own for a few years.

I will send you a PM later.  I do actually have a question you might be able to help me with.
