PCP Recommendation in KC

Hi all,
I live in KC. I was wondering if any of you can suggest your PCP. I am looking for someone who is pro-bariatric surgery and was able to document everything you needed for insurance purposes.

My PCP is Mahesh Chandra at Centerpoint Internal Medicine in Independence. He has been very supportive of my decision to have bariatric surgery. He was also able to give me all of the documentation I needed for insurance. Hope this helps!

I would highly recommend my primary care doctor. Her name is Sahar Kamel. She is with Shawnee Mission Primary Care near Shawnee Mission Hospital. Her phone number is 913-384-4040. It took me almost 2 years to get my insurance to pay for my surgery. She wrote several letters for me. I had my surgery on 4-28-2010 at Shawnee Mission Hospital. I would also recommend KC Bariatric Center for weight loss surgery. Dr. Christopher Kowalski did my surgery. They have monthly support groups and they care about their patients!
