Support Groups in Kansas City area?

Hello everybody!

I am a recent (9/15) sleev-er , my surgeon is in Detroit.

Does anyone know of a support group within an  hour or so from Kansas City, that accepts other surgeons' patients?   I REALLY need the support,......struggling.,

I work for Weight Loss Surgical Center, and even though we specialize in LAP-BAND Surgeries, we allow anyone to attend, even if they have had other procedures or were banded by other surgeons. We realize that everyone needs support and may have something helpful to contribute, even if the paths to healthy weight are a little different.

In the Kansas City area, we have two clinics that have support groups here is information on each:

Overland Park LAP-BAND Support Group, next meeting November 21 at 11 a.m. at 8101 W 135th St.

Independence LAP-BAND Support Group, next meeting December 2 at 4:30 p.m. at our clinic inside the southeast corner of Independence Center mall.
