Looking for a great PCP...

I am located in Emporia KS... I had surgery in St. Louis, MO in 2002. It is much to far to drive for a good PCP. Can anyone recommend a good PCP that has experience with RNY patients and their needs? It is very hard to find someone who can relate and knows what to do. I am really needing some help at this point.

Hi, Michelle.
In thinking about your situation, I wonder if your surgeon's office may be able to help you locate a good PCP in Emporia. It might be worth a phone call.
If you can find a support group in your area, you could bring up your need at a meeting, and see who others go to. Good luck in finding a good personal care physician.

I had the DS and I know he has at least one other patient that had RNY. I know he is aware of my needs for lab tests and making sure my vitimin levels are all good.
