The WLS clinic I have been working with for several months had been telling me 13,000 for the surgery- I jumped through the hoops and got an initial appt. set. Now they are asking me to pre-pay 10,000 in addition for pre-op testing. total of 23,000!

What have other selfpayers paid?

Yikes. I went with Dr. Walton, Weight Wise, Edmond, OK, for the VSG and paid $9,995 self-pay through Care Credit. That was for everything, including a year of follow-up visits. He's awesome.
I wonder what they'd say if you told them you might have to go somewhere else.
Blessings,
Mary

I don't know what kind of surgery you are considering...but dr hornbostel of sedalia used to be one of the lowest priced around, plus and most importantly he is one of, if not THE best around here!!! hugs and good luck, it took me a long time to get the surgery but i will say it has all been so worth it in the end.
