I think i am in need of a revision almost 5 years out and starting regain weight like all of a sudden.  I have gained 30 #'s in the last three months.  I have BCBS of KS and wanted to know if anyone knew of the steps and proceedures i would have to go through to get it covered.  The other day I had severe cramping so bad that i was throwing up everything i took in including water. as soon as i drank it it came right back up...  I finally got to sleep 4 am and then for a week after any time i ate or drank it would hurt BAD!!! I am back up to a size 18. I had been in a size 12/14. Before surgery i wore size 30.  I maintained my weight for 4 years.  Now within the last month i noticed it takes more food to make me full.  I mean like steak i can eat a whole one now. used to be only 4 small bites.. What is wrong with me or is it all in my head.... I am so confused....

I'm not sure, but I would talk to your doctor and ins company.  The seminar I went to said BCBS of KS didn't cover WLS but I may be wrong.  Especially if something is wrong with your RNY.

Sorry your going through rough time right now.  Unfortunately, BCBS of KS is notorious for not covering surgery.  But that could be different if you have complications, and various by employer, so be sure to check it out.  Hope all goes well.

I have BCBS of KS and they told me in no uncertain terms (and even a little rudely) that they did not cover WLS in any way, shape or form -- EVER!  I am currently looking for new insurance.
