Actually part of it was good, I got a clean report from my cancer doctor and the other part sucked because I have another leak and cannot eat or drink again.  Oh well....

Yeah I was a little nervous when I went to see the cancer doctor, but then I always am.  I hope you don't ever experience a leak either.  It is no fun and the second time seems harder because I'm actually hungry and thirsty where the first time I wasn't so much.

Hi Kim!!!

Wow... I thought I had quite a ride, but it was nothing compared to you!!! Whoever said lightweights surgery was easier LIED!!!

I am just now trying to get into a routine with eating and drinking. Seems like everything good for me (solid meats and protein) makes me nauseated,  and I don't seem to have enough time in the day to get in my fluids.

I am still happy I had my surgery, and am down about 35 #'s, but it's gonna be a long road...

It has definately been a ride, one I'm ready to get off of.  I always had problems with most meats and I can't hardly drink a protein shake at all.  That has hindered me some.  You MUST try to get your 64 oz. of fluid in even if it means you don't eat, because if you don't, you will get dehydrated.  Believe me I know.  I've been to the ER about 5 times just for dehydration.  It will eventually get to you and you will feel lousy and weak and run down.

Good job on the 35#.  I don't think it will be as long a road as you think.  Just use your tool and you will do great.

Hi, Mendee.
I see that you're from Mulvane. I live in Winfield and have started a support group called Winfield L.I.G.H.T. (Losing Inches, Getting Healthy Together) Support Group. If you do not have a support group to attend but would like one, we'd love to have you join us the 2nd Sat. of every month, from 2-3 p.m., at the Winfield E-Free Church Library, 3725 E. 9th Avenue. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call at 620-229-8775. I am in the process of getting OH certified. We have a small but wonderful group, and we discuss topics of interest, have time to share joys and concerns, have a goodie basket from which a lucky winner chooses a "prize," and even taste test a healthy recipe. :)
Blessings,
Mary

It is great that you got good news from your cancer doctor. I hope that they get your leak fixed very quickly.

Thank you so much and good luck to you on your surgery.  Please let us know as soon as you can how it went.  I will say a prayer for your surgery to be uneventful and with no complications.
