Surgery Monday at Junction City

Fellow Kansans, I am scheduled for RNY surgery  the 21st.  Nervous and excited at the same time.  I work in Wichita and live in Hutchinson and have been traveling back and forth several times.  Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. thanks Vicki

Congratulations on your surgery date. Your life will never be the same. You are about to embark on a wonderful journey that only you decide how far you want to take it. Right now you are nervous. Once the surgery is over, you forget all about the risk and all of the worrying you did. It is just a phase that you have to pass through to get to where you want to go. Once you have the surgery, just try to follow the rules that you are given. You will only reach your goal if you stay focused and learn to be a good rule follower. Best wishes to you. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. It is so easy for me to say that and so hard for you to follow and understand right now. This is a special time in your life and you should look back on it with such fond memories. Let the fun begin... John

Hey Vicki!  Dr H is my surgeon!  LOVE HIM!!!!!!! I had surgery on Dec 4 2007 and Im now 5 pounds from goal!  From 250 to 135 in 6 months.  He is the greatest and dont hesitate to call him if something doesnt feel "right".

The weight is just not coming off as fast as I think it should.  Any suggestions???
