Regaining some of the lost weight is typical. Question is how much have you regained and are you eating how and what you are suppose to. I'm 15mths post op and I know it is easy to get off track. My system is not as sensitive as it was so all of the reminders that once were there are not necessarily there now. I have to make special effort to eating correctly. I think the average is 20% regain of weight. Of course you do have some say in that.

When there is a question about possible revision, I think the very first step is having the testing done, to see what size your pouch and stoma are, then kind of go from there. How much did you lose, and how much have you gained back? I had mine in 2004 also.

That's a regain right at 20%. Did this weight come back suddenly or over time? Couldn't hurt to see somebody I guess. It is possible to have a pouch that has stretched. I read here of a non-surgical procedure that can help with that. I don't recall what they called it. Might be worth looking into though. I think the first thing to look at is your BMI. The doctor will.
