I have BCBS of Kansas, as you all know they do not cover WLS. I am looking into having LAPBAND surgery in Wichita at SLF. Does anyone know how much they will charge for this procedure if you are self pay? Any response would be appreicated! :)

They also have a facility in Wichita. Are you having your surgery in Overland Park or Wichita?
Tallgrass - Turning Point was using the numbers of about $13K just a few months ago as their general figure for a self-pay Bandster. That is less than a new car...I'll take a used car with a new chance at getting that new life any day.
Best of luck to you on your journey.

Thanks. I have heard a lot of great things about Tallgrass. However I live 5 hours from Topeka so Tallgrass is not an option for me.
I am currently persuing the Lap Band at SFL as well, however I should not have any problems getting my insurance to cover. I attended their seminar about a month ago and the $17,500 is what is printed on my self pay paperwork. But during the seminar, they discussed many self pay options and cash discounts. Seems like $10,000 is what is sticking in my mind. They also had a credit plan with the hospital.

Thanks for the info. Do you know when the next seminar will be?
