What do I do?????

So my Blue Cross Blue Sheild of Kansas City approved the Lap-Band.  I got the letter and I was SOOOOO excited and happy and releived.  Then I called Dr. Malley's office to schedule my surgery and the 1st avaliable is JULY 24th......   What??  HUH??  He performs only 4 a month at Menorah where I have to go because of my insurance.  So, even though I like Dr. Malley, I cant wait that long.  So Dr. Hoehn, Dr. Opie, and Dr. Lopez all take my insurance, but I dont know when they can get me in any ideas or similar situations?  Who is best?  Where do they operate?

Dr. Hoehn is my surgeon and I think he is the greatest.  He is located at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.  You will need to attend one of their seminars and you can register at the following website:  http://www.kcbariatric.com .  I think you will find that it will take some time to get a date for surgery with Dr. Hoehn because there are program requirements to meet before a date can be set.  You will find out more about the requirements at the seminar. You might definitely check into my surgeon's office and see if your insurance works there because it's a GREAT GREAT facility and is a Center of Excellence. I had my surgery with Dr. Malley on 2/26/08 and I think he would be worth the wait. I was self pay and at my consult  on Jan. 31 he gave me my date as above. I had mine at the new hope bariatric center though. They were all wonderful. Jan
