I just got home from my dr. appt.  Talked to Dr. and she said they are now using the new lap band.  They feel it is better as it has more cushion around it for less irritation and seems to be less likely to slip and just better.  I assume they are using it more and more now everywhere.  I remember somewhere there was a post asking how many are using it now. Guess I am all set.  Yicks.  Now to just get through the pre op diet.  I am so ready thought.  Just wish I could go to sleep and wake up the day of surgery.

Please let me know how it turns out for you. I am going to a seminar at St Francis Hospital here in Topeka , Kansas with Tallgrass and I hope that I can get approved for Lap Band.

How did it go for you?  I am a little over four years out but I think Tallgrass is great.  Let us know how it goes for you.

You are getting so close.  I'm getting excited for you.  You will do great.  You have done your research and are ready.  Before you know you will be waking up....and then you will be 6 months out...doing wonderful.  I never have asked what they used on me back in May.  I have an appt in december and think I will find out for sure.  mary

I remember someone asking about it when I went to the seminar.  They said they had only done a couple because they had been requested but were still checking them out. more.  Then Dr. B said that is what they are now useing so I guess they figure it must be ok.  How many times have you had to go back to the Dr.  They said I would have to go back I believe in a week and then I wasn't sure after that.  boy I hope my liver is shrinking.  I wouldn't mind eating just one little bite of something.  But won't.

I was the first patient with the new band. So far I have had no problems with it. The doctors seem to be satified with the results.
