I have heard of medical expenses being a write off. I was wondering if I would be able to write off any of the expense of the surgery. William Fuschino

Hi, yes you can if you file long form, like car taxes, etc.  email me back when it gets closer and will help.  make sure you keep all receips, mileage, prescriptions, and anything else for the entire year.

If you have a Flex spending account with your employer you should use it to the max.

A flex spending account is the best way otherwise the total spending has to be more than 7.5% of your income to qualify for a deduction. So, it depends on how much you make.
