Starting a Support group in Wichita!!

Hello Everyone,  I have been trying to start a support group in Wichita. I got the lapband on 3/22/07. If anyone is interested send me a message. It does not have to be just for bandsters. Everyone is welcome! Thanks and I look forward to hearing from all of you! Kelli

I am interested too! I live in Hutch, and we supposedly have a support group here, but haven't heard where or when. My surgery is August 6! LaNeta

I am interested. I was just banded last week, and I am definitely looking for a support group. What did you have in mind? Weekly?  Meet at each others' houses?

Hi Everyone!!    That is wonderful! I have met a few more people that would be willing to come! When is a good time for everyone? The last  time that we got together was on Sunday afternoon around 3pm. Will that work? or would an evening be better? I am really happy to meet other people that have had the surgery! Kelli

My daughter is going to WSU and has lap band surgery scheduled on 12/17/07 and I am sure she would love to go to the support group in Wichita - we wondered if there was one.  I live north of Topeka and am having RNY in 2008.  Please let me know about the Wichita support group you put together (I am pretty illiterate about how to post to this site, etc.)  Thank you Iris

Count me in too!  I've not had surgery yet...but hopefully I'll be banded in Shawnee Mission in the next few months.  I live in Wichita, and I'd love to have a support group here instead of having to drive all the way to KC!!!
