not in Kansas anymore.

Home was in Coffeyville,Kansas. I lived in Coffeyville from 1956 to 1988.I now call Alabama my home.I have family and friends that still live in Kansas and will be returning back to Coffeyville on Sept 1-2-3-4th.We will be having a family reunion at this time.I have family I have not seen in 36 years and longer that will be there for me to see.I can hardly wait to see them. I have not been over weight all my life.I did not gain my weight till I hit my 40's.I am only 5 foot and 1 inches tall.So as I used to tell people."I am 5 foot tall eyes of blue and round too." I was taking 13 pills a day for my health.My blood presure was never right even with the 3 pills I was taking for it.My father had high blood presure also.(he passed away on Nov 24 1995 @ 67 years young) My RYN surgery (open) was done on Nov 24th 2004.I weighed in at 266 and now I weigh 149.(-117)I wear a size 10 pants.I want to have a tummy tuck done.If I get to have that done I will be happy with my size. i am so glad to hear your story i had open RNY on dec.6 2006 and it is the best thing i have done.. i am so glad that his has changed you i am hoping for the same  i want long term lifestyle change.  i am from kansas as well born and raised .. I was on alot of medications as well....Insulin and 3 oral diabetic medications, high blood pressure pill 2 times a day .... I am down about 74 lbs in 5 and half months and almost all medications are not needed except for the insulin ....Thanks for listening.

I taught at Field Kindley in Cville this past year. I love Coffeyville. I got a job closer to home in OK, but just down the road in Chetopa.I haven't had surgery yet or even scheduled it... Hoping that my insurance will pay, but determined to have my surgery regardless. Nice to meet you!
