I need your help!
Hey all you Kansas WLS people! I am a lap-bander in the KC area and am asking for you help today, with something that has nothing to do with weight loss! Although, I've lost 71 pounds since last April with my lap-band, so am available to answer any questions you newbies may have! My friend, DAVID BURGE is a finalist on the Anchor for a Day contest on the Today Show in NYC. I thought what better place than here on the boards to ask for you help in voting him to the championship! DAVID has made it to the final 2...NOW, we just have to vote for him before 4pm today, so he can host the show on Thursday! Please click on the link and vote for DAVID BURGE. Thanks!

Thanks! I'm really at 162. I sometimes don't believe it myself, hence the picture. LOL My surgery was 10/26/05, so 16 mos. out on Monday. I lost my first 100 lbs in a little less than 14 mos., and I feel like I still have about 10 lbs. to lose right now. The rumor is true...the last ten pounds ARE the hardest to lose!!
I hope your friend wins!
I'm not near KC, darn it!! I am trying to convince my hubby that we need to take the kids to GWL over spring break though, so if we decide to come that way, I'll let you know!!! Even if we don't do that, my surgeon is in KC and I REALLY want to come see him sometime this spring. We'll hook up for lunch or something!
You're doing awesome. When was the last time you lost 71 lbs by yourself?!? The *occasional* cookie dough is okay! LOL You'll make it to your goal, I bet. I wanted to make 100 lbs by my one-year anniversary but didn't quite - got to 87 - then hit 100 about six weeks later. LOL I bet just seeing a 1 as the first number on the scale will be a big thrill! It was for me!!
