Hi! I had the lapband surgery on Monday, 3/19, and was self-pay. My surgeon uses BLIS, which is an insurance program for people who self-pay. It was an extra $2500 up front, but it sure gave me peace of mind. I was more afraid of the general surgery and potential problems from anesthesia than from the surgical procedure itself. It all went very smoothly, though, and I can't say enough good things about my doctor, John Price, his awesome staff or the hospital, St. Luke's Plaza. I'm surprised at how sore I am still (3 days post op) but I do feel a little better each day. Good luck!
1. I'm Erin New deom KC, KS
And I am pre-op to RNY don't have a date yet! Grrr
I will be having surgery in Columbia MO at Mizzu! MO University Hospital through Missouri Bariatric Services. Boo to Mizzu go KU!
I will be going there because they are the closest place that my insurance will cover the surgery at.
I'm a snacker!
