Can anyone tell me if there is a place I can get good financing for GBS? My insurance absolutely will NOT pay and I have no other option that I know of then to pay out of pocket, but it is so expensive and my credit is not the best. I don't know where to go from here, really. If anyone can suggest something I would appreciate it. I need GBS desperately and have been trying for a long time to figure out how to get it. Please help if you can. :-S

Vonda, Look up Medprova or efinancial.com......I tried those and response was quick. Although I was denied, my credit is not great.....but my husband's credit was better, we still were denied. I'm not sure how they rate it but, here i am, saving up $$...but I will get there. are you looking for surgery in the US? I am going to mexico for Lapband....cheaper and the surgeons have actually taught the Docs here in America. go figure, just something you may want to look into....I think I remember seeing GBS for around 12,500.00 Good Luck,

I just had a call from a financing organization. Their number is 866-269-2327 ext. 82048 and the lady's name was Christina. Not sure if that would help but thought of you. Good luck on this.

Citibank has a finical side just for medical finance. I will look around for the info and get it to you. I know that they do this due to an expense from the dentist. They gave us the information for them. I will find it tonight. It is easy to apply but I don't know how they rate people. I don't know if I would really look at Mexico for an option. Even though they state they have trained physicians in the U.S. Who is going to take care of your problems when you have one? I have learned from past experiences in life... you never know what comes your way. You don't want to be one of those people who have a procedure and then can't find anyone to fix a screw up or when something goes wrong. This procedure should not be taken lightly on any means. You need to understand that it could be a matter of life or death. Sure would not want to see you on the bad end of a "so called" good deal. KD

Some ideas: HELOC or 2nd on your mortgage Refinance 401K loan Signature Loan (like from CitiFinancial) Capitol One (has a medical loan, and it is under cosmetic) Flex Spending Account Low Interest Credit Card and I've heard lots of great stories from Mexican Banded patients, you just have to make sure you secure aftercare here locally. Also... Dr. K www.lapbandrockies.com out of Denver
