LONG time gone!
Hello to everyone. It has been nearly a year since I posted here. I was positng on another site, but I miss this one. I need some advice from my fellow bandsters.
I started a support group several months ago. The attendance has been low. The meetings are monthly on the second Tuesday at 7 pm. I have great topics and special guests- but only a very few folks seem to make it.
We meet at Heartland Spine and Specialty Hospital. Dr. Lopez was my doc, but we are open to anyone! Would a different time be better for folks? What am I doing wrong!!????

Hey Rebecca! My friend Cheryl (another Lopez patient) and I are planning to come to your January meeting. I hope so anyway! Its an awfully long drive for us, or we'd come more regularly. There's a support group in Hutch that takes all kinds of WLS patients and they're mostly RNY, and there's maybe only 10-12 that attend that group. I also get together with some ladies in Wichita whenever I'm there, and we've only had 10 at one meeting. Usually there's maybe 4-6 people. I think you're providing a great atmosphere and I hope you'll continue!
I hope we get to meet in January!

Hi Rebecca,
I just recently had my banding surgery (Dec 12), and would be very interested in attending your group. I can see that time may be a factor for me as well. I work 12 hr shifts, getting off around 7:30 pm, with a schedule that varies (nurses hours). So for me 8 pm would work unless I happen to be off that day, in which case anytime would work. Debbie
