Hello, my name is Debbie. I just had my banding Dec 12th, and was hoping to pick up helpful information, and visit with those in the same situation, and also impart whatever I could to others.

Congratulations! I was banded in July 05 and have lost 101 pounds! Support groups are important. I lead one and there are many others in the area. That is the best place to get in all the good tips and tricks. I try to organize a clothing exchange as well. I am always eager to share what ever I have learned- so ask away! Best wishes- Rebecca

Congratulations Debbie! And good luck to Phyllis tomorrow! I love, love, love seeing more Kansas bandsters on here!! I was banded October, 2005 and have lost 100 pounds. I LOVE my band! Feel free to email me anytime. Sometimes this board can be a little quiet. ;o) How are you feeling, Debbie? Are you still on liquids? Keep us updated on your progress! ~Tiffany

Congratulations on your wonderful success with your banding. I hope I have that in my future as well. I'm feeling pretty good...still sore around the port site. I get a burning pulling feeling when I bend over. It's weird...that area is sunken in...I'm assuming things must be sutured into deeper tissue. Yep, still on liquids....and so hungry...and bored I think with my selections. From what I gather, it is ok to pulverize foods and thin them down, so I think that is what I will do. The broths, cream of whatever soups are getting old, lol. Last night I experimented with blending a turkey hot dog with spicy V-8 juice....interesting, but I think I will try something else today, lol.

Nice to meet you Joy. I am going to go to my first support group meeting there Jan. 13th I think. Will you be going by chance? I am looking forward to 3 things right now. 1)Solid Food.....I am so hungry on liquids, but not really having any more weight loss 2) Getting my first fill so I won't feel so hungry 3) Weight loss! I've lost 20 pounds, but most of that was with my 10 day pre-op liquid diet. Debbie
