Medicaid coverage?

Is there anyone who has gotten WLS in KS and it was covered by medicaid? I have been told by the ins that they dont cover it and I have been told that they do if it is deemed medically necessary. I have medicaid and am sure I would qualify. I am new to the insurance part of this, as all research I have done has mostly been online. Anyone have any input on this? Thanks!

I was at the last seminar given by Tallgrass in Topeka. They don't go into insurance much there but they did say that BCBS and Medicaid Kansas don't cover this surgery at all.
