Anyone interested in meeting for coffee/soda?

Hello everyone, I am in transition in moving from AR to KC. I am in KC on the weekends,Friday afternoon through Sunday. I would love to get to know some people from the area. Is anyone interesting in meeting for coffee/soda? A little about me. I had LapBand done 12/15/05 so I am over 6 months out and down 74 lbs. It's been a great journey. Hi Victoria! I'm pretty far away from Kansas City, but you can find other banded people in the Yahoo groups. They're called KCBandsters. Do a search for them at Yahoo groups and you will find some locals who have a lot in common with you! I hope you find a lunch buddy, and if I get up to KC sometime I will be sure to let you know. Victoria, I wish I lived a bit closer to KC. I am in Topeka (about 1 1/2) hours away. But I work full time and go to school full time so I rarely have extra travel time. I will be in the KC area the second weekend in August though because my family and I are going to Worlds of Fun. Maybe we can work something out. I was banded just this past June, on the 19th. I have just begun my journey but it has been an interesting journey so far. I have lost a total of 32 lbs to date. So I am working hard and trying to mind my p's and q's. Hi I moved to Kansas from Texas 4 years ago- you are lucky to be in the KC area. We moved to Hutchinson, which is close to Wichita. I had my surgery in KC. It has been a very hard move for me. At least I have made friends with our weight loss support group- even though I am the only bandster in this area. I know they were trying to get a support group going there- sorry I am not closer- would love to meet another bandster buddie!!! Good luck with the move- it is never easy. I can't wait to move back to Texas- I never dreamed we would be here this long. Cheryl, You are not the only one in the Hutchinson area that has the lapband surgery done. I had it done in Dallas Texas with Dr. Henry Horrilleno. I am down 55 lbs now and just started working out at Genesis Healthclub. Hopefully it helps. Keep up the good work. Dennis

I would be interested in meeting. There are lots of Hoehn patients in several formal and informal groups. I live in Leawood, but could drive anywhere that's best for you.
