I was wondering if anyone has tried Zumba on Wii? I was also curious how it compares to a live class. I'm wanting to buy it but want to make sure it's worth the money.

thank you both... I have lost about 10lbs in almost 2 weeks though I am certain it has a lot more to do with that I am sick and haven't eaten in 2 full days. I have been drinking protein drinks because I can not call out of work. i skipped the gym those 2 days also 
, this is what started the trend list time.... my getting sick, then skipping the gym then just giving up all together. SO, my challenge will be to go back to the gym as soon as I can breathe from my nose!

I found out last Friday that I've been approved for surgery!!! Thank God!!! I called Dr. E's office yesterday and they told me that they did not receive my approval letter yet. I received my letter today, so hopefully they received theirs too!! I wanted to speak to Amy but was directed to Sholanda. Does anyone know who this is? My next question is, should I call them again tomorrow to follow up or just wait for them to call me? I would like to get my preop class and all my preop testing done, but not sure if I should try to schedule the class myself or wait on them to tell me when to come in. Anyone's advice would be greatly appreciated!!

My sister lost over 130 lbs last year using a computer program where she logs in her food items and her exercise. she is amazing and proof it can be done. She is 60 yrs old. I think there is a forum on here for weight loss without surgery. No way is wrong if it works and you improve your health. Good luck and check into support groups near where you live.

I decided any WLS was safer than staying MO. Research the 4 methods before making a decision and I agree you need to consider a Center of Excellence. The benefits of WLS far outweighed the chances I was dealing with.

I tried the e mail route, it was great dealing with Colleen but not so good with Amy or Tanya. If you do not get a call back from them in a day I would definitely get in touch with Colleen. She helped things move along for me. I found they were doing everything they should have been doing, but my insurance was slow to respond. I would call the ins and they would say they were waiting on something from the Dr so I would call the DR and get told they already sent it. I know they called my Ins many times for me to make sure the right forms were received. It is very hard to be patience, but try.

I think everyone here will agree that all types of WLS come with risks & even death. I do know that if you pick your surgeon, I recommend making sure they are a "Center of Excellence" and don't feel like you can't go to a consult if you don't know which one you specifically want, because that is something the doctor will talk to you about in seminar & in consult. Personally, my doctor let me know which surgery is most effective for a person of my weight & some surgeons will not do lap-band if you are over a specific BMI, knowledge is everything, attend a seminar & they will go over every procedure they do at the bariatric center & will be open for any & all questions.

I arrived early this morning for my pre-op testing. I figured I would be running all over & it would take literally all day, but I was pleasantly surprised by the hospital & staff. I started out giving a urine sample then having about 10 vials of blood drawn, then I figured they would send me elsewhere, but no the woman who had just drawn by blood walked me all the way to my next testing & told them I was there, I thought thats odd for someone to actually walk me there, then the same thing after chest xray they walked me to get an upper GI, which was so cool bc I could see my stomach, etc, no pain just a horrible barium to swallow, then the radiologist took the time to explain what I was looking at etc & then an assistant walked me again to my next appointment for pulmonary testing, then they made me do crazy breathing tests...lol then she walked me back into a clinic area where I was to have an EKG but they were able to pull up the one from a hospital 4 hrs away & use that. The doctor that checked me out was Dr. Reeder, he was so kind & answered any questions that I had & even tried to call dr. e to see what pre-op diet I was supposed to be on. Overall it was an A+++++, I feel 150% comfortable now with choosing them with how they were today. I have never been able to leave a hospital with a smile on my face but today I did & over all the testing I never waited over 10 minutes & was out within 3 hours. WooHoo!
