Topic: Duane has passed away
My heart is breaking!  I just learned that Duane has passed away and his funeral is Saturday in Bloomington.  Our board and WLS family has lost a very dear man.

Please pray for Alisica and the family.

I will post any arrangements as I learn details.  I am going to try to make it down there.

Huge hugz!!!

Tracy

Contact your surgeon, see your dietician.   Go to a local support group.  start an exercise group with other mommies.  Just get up and move!  Do not allow boredom.  If you need to stay home get a yoga and a zumba tape and stretch and dance!  You will get back on track, but only you can do it.

the something that I can do.

I had totally forgot about the pop-rocks!  It is funny how we forget the stuff we do not want to remember!  Like drinking chalk and laying on the floor to get blood drawn!  I usually end up looking like I took a hammer to my arms.  Congratulations on getting past all that.  You are well on your way to a new life.

i would say you arent eating enough especially protein. from looking at what what you ate that day i would say you were lucky if you got in 40 grams of protein. that is a dangerous number. when you go below 60 your body starts feeding off of muscle. your heart is a muscle. you definitely dont want to end up with heart problems on top of everything else you have been dealing with.protein malnutrition is nothing to take lightly. it can cause a lot of severe symptoms like severe edema which could cause weight gain. i still have trouble eating all the protein i need (over 120grams) and i really dont like most protein shakes( found a banana flavored one that is ok) but i had to start looking at the shakes like medicine. whether i like them or not, i drink 2 of them EVERY day. you REALLY MUST get that protein up. have you had any labs drawn recently? i would be very interested to see your protein and prealbumin levels. if it were me in your shoes my butt would be in the dr's office finding out how bad my protein levels were and then finding a way to get those levels up. also, i had a completely different surgery than you so i dont have a stoma but even i have problems with chicken, lots of people do. best of luck.
