Topic: RE: weight gain
I had only lost 6 lbs at my 3 week follow up! I burst into tears in the dr's office! But, I was in the hospital for 5 days and so full of IV fluids that my pre-op clothes barely fit when I left the hospital. Hang in there and stick to your plan. It will come off!!!!

The support group meeting, lead by a St Vincent nurse or dietitian, is open to all pre- and post-op patients regardless if they had surgery at St Vincents. We often grab a bite to eat afterward.

Topic: need endocrinologist
I am in desperate need of an endocrinologist who is familiar with long-term issues connected with bariatric surgery. In the Fort Wayne area would be ideal but at this point, I would travel a distance if I could find a knowledgeable dr. who could help. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

I think Dr. Inman does revisions, but mostly to the DS. She's the only bariatric surgeon in Indiana who does the DS, and really, for any bariatric surgery, you want to go to St. Vincent's in Carmel.
Though sometimes the NUTS get it wrong ( that's everywhere!), St. V's has the absolute BEST bariatric surgery program in the Midwest, IMHO!

i dont know about the stomaphyx but a revision surgeon would depend on what you want to be revised to.
