Hi all! I haven't fallen off the planet. This time of year is always busy for us. Spring field trips, Girl scouts, son's birthday and my wedding anniversary are in late april...daughter's birthday is in the beginning of may... and now I'm starting a new job.
Finally going to get to use my broadcasting cert in a paying gig. WOOO! pray that the FCC doesn't fine me to death on my first day lol
I have, however, been spending more time over on BariatricTV.com . I recomend that site as there really isn't the drama you find on the main board here. (haven't really noticed any here on our state board, but man that main board is dramaville)
They have a support group chat on monday evenings, which is always a blast...and their videos are quite amusing. If you don't already go there, check it out! I use the same screen name there too...

I am still planning on going. Bought my ticket a few months back. I'm meeting up with Leigh Ann there. Melting Mama is also planning on attending, so that should be fun :D

Topic: Dr Diaz or Dr Cacucci
Can anyone please give me insight on these two doctors? I'm interested in talking to someone who has been banded by them. I am supposed to choose one of them to consult with about lap band surgery. Dr Jones does not do lap band surgery is what I was told yesterday. I have been back and forth with my decision regarding rny vs lapband. Please anyone?? Laura

Hi, I don't know what is going on with that practice. I saw Dr Jones for my consult, and recently Dr Diaz and Dr Cacucci have 'moved out'. I am now considering lap band instead of rny. Was told yesterday Dr Jones does not do lap bands. I will have to call one of these other 2 doctors. Well, I have noooo idea which one to choose!!!! I wonder what happened that so much change has gone on recently. Even the lady that I've been working with at Dr Jones office on insurance requirements has left! Laura

I hope some of you got a chance to watch Geneen on the Oprah show today. It was really inspiring to other women, including Oprah herself, have their epiphany moment after reading her new book. I find Geneen's work to help me find myself, my connection to myself & my "RAW" emotions, & my connection to GOD (BTW - Geneen's definition of GOD isn't GOD per say him/herself, but that moment when we are in awe & at peace w/ourselves & our relationships). I sincerely hope those of you who are experiencing guilt, resentment, hurt and/or anger over your relationship with food, how you eat, & etc.. take a chance and read Geneen's books for some guidance.

If you NEVER want to "DIET" again, make sure you watch today's Oprah with Geneen Roth. She really does make sense and awesome practical advice, books to read, workbooks to teach you, & workshops to attend.
