Got home from the TT yesterday.  I really have been kinda out of it since then up until this evening and I 'm finally a little more awake.  Still hard to see the outcome because of the swelling but it looks flat.

I'll keep you updated

Topic: Surgery in 9 days Clarian North
Surgery scheduled June 3 at Clarian North with Dr. Mattar. Finished pre-op class which was very long but informative. So much information to absorb. I'm having the VSG. Anyone else have that at Clarian?

Topic: Back on the Board after almost 2 years
I joined the board back in 2006, I had lap band surgery in July 2007.  I lost 89 pounds, but have put about 9 back on.  I lost about 84% of my excess weight.  I can't complain at all.  I loved my band, but it doesn't love me.

I can't remember my login anymore.  I know my ID was mtownbutterfly, but can't remember my password.

I am back now, because my band has got to come out.  I have been having problems for the last 3 months with throwing up everytime I lay down, doesn't matter how much I eat or whether I eat at all.  Dr. Clark has had me do several barium swallows.  These show that my food just doesn't want to flow through at any rate at all.  Plus I just had an upper GI and they said the band placement looks good, but it does show that I have reflux and the starting signs of Barrets disease.  So it's gotta go.

Dr. Clark and his staff are trying to see if they can get my insurance to cover converting to Gastric Bypass, so we'll see.  I hope I can do that, because i really fear gaining all my weight back if I am left on my own.

Thanks everyone that responded - both here and in text messages.  Found one!  Woo Hoo!!  Thanks all.

Will try to be a little more active on here once I get everything with my parents and the crappy nursing home they are presently in straightened out!
