WOW.... Surgery Date in May!

I finally heard from Dr. Inman's office this morning. I can't believe it... I'm scheduled for my surgery in a little over 3 weeks... May 26! I expected it to be 3 months out. I'm so excited... but also suddenly scared and a little overwhelmed. I'm going to the nutrition class this week on Thursday - hopefully I'll learn all I need to know to prepare at that class. Then I go in for all the pre-op testing on May 15. I've been in "waiting" mode for so long, and now suddenly it's happening so fast! I'm not sure how to feel!!

Congradulations on your great news!!! I am still waiting for mine to be approved and then, hope I am able to have my surgery as soon as I can. Bonnie

CELEBRATE! the same thing happend to me. I found out I was approved on Dec 7. They said it would be 3 months before I could get scheduled. The next message I got I was on for Jan 17th. You don't have time to worry. Get your things around and go for it! I'm a little over three months out now and down 60 pounds. I'm still amazed at what a wonderful tool this surgery has been for me. The first few days after surgery are rough, but if you follow all the rules and do what they tell you to do, things should go well. You have a great surgeon with much experience. Trust her and the staff at St. V. They are the best!

Thanks for your support and encouragement, ladies! I'm in shock a little bit today, but also very, very excited. A quick date is exactly what I wanted, but I never expected to actually get it.

Katy, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so happy to hear you have a date, it is such an exciting time! You spend all of this time waiting and then it finally arrives, it is so exciting and so well worth the journey, ask questions if you need too, that is what we are all here for. I am only 6 months post-op feels just like yesterday, it has so been worth it, and yes I would do it all over again!!
