How long...

Did it take between when your PCP referred you to the surgeon and when the surgeon's office contacted you? I visited my Dr. 4/6/06 and then on 4/7/06 got a call they were referring me to the surgeons office. I believe it is Dr. Cacucci. I have yet to hear from them. Can I call them? I don't want to seem like I am bugging them or anything. Thanks! Happy Easter everyone!

Hi Samantha...By all means give Dr. Cacucci's office a call to follow up on your doctors office, you might actually have to call the Bariatric Center to find out when they'll be scheduling a group meeting with Dr. Cacucci...I think that's where they directed me to call. Samantha, I called their office and was scheduled right away to come for a seminar and consultation. I had mine last week. Im now waiting for insurance approval. Wish you could have kept me company at my visit....lol. We could have embraced this big step together. My husband went with me but I felt so bad for him. He said he wasnt bored but Im sure it wasnt any fun for him. Lots of waiting. Mariah

I wanted my husband to go with me so he could see exactly what I was going to go thru.. he would see for himself not just be hearing me say this is what they told me.. He was a great support for me. He has also lost a few inches, his cholesteroil is down to 128 and he has become a new man too.. without surgery.. Yes by all means give the office a call.. Dr C was my dr and I see her today for my annual.. it has been 1 year for me I cant believe it!! Linda

Well I just called Dr. Cacucci's office and gave them my information. They said someone should be contacting me in the next 48 hours to schedule the consult. I was told they would contact me. Opps! Thanks!

Hi Samatha, By all means call your surgeons office. I am sure they are used to getting these calls.
