X-POST: Calcium Crystals

Hey everyone.  I was wondering who has used the calcium crystals and what you thought of them?  How do you take them?  In drink, food, by itself?  Do they have a taste?  I am just not real sure about them and I do not want to buy something without having a good idea of what I am getting first. 

Any help, opinions anything would be much appreciated

I've never tried the crystals, but I love the chews from www.BariatricAdvantage.com .  They have two or three flavors (I always buy the chocolate myself).  I have also used the Upcal D powdered calcium citrate.  You can mix in food or drinks.  It doesn't really have a taste other than being slightly sweet.  But it isn't strong enough to really notice.  I will say that it is a little heavy (it is a mineral after all) and will sink to the bottom of your glass if you don't keep stirring it while you drink.  But it mixes in pretty well with food.  I would just sprinkle it on top of my salad.  You might ask for a sample.  Often, the various websites will have low cost or free samples you can get.

Leigh Ann, I've used them.  They don't have a taste.  I put them in my crystal light.

I purchased the Calcium Crystals from Bariatric Advantage, and I'm now using the chews.  I think I used my container of crystals for all of a week before I had to stop.  I was avoiding drinking as I wasn't a fan of the lemon-lime flavor.  I'm also have a hard time with Crystal Light because I don't like how it "weighs down" the water.. if that makes any sense?

If I were to do it all over again I would just go with the chews... or get the unflavored crystals.

If you're interested, I do have an almost full tub of the lemon-lime that could use a new home.
