Sunday and an announcement.....

Wake up everybody!  It's been pretty slow around here lately.

I've been super duper busy, so haven't posted much myself.

I'm looking to start an OH Support Group in the Camby/Heartland Crossing/Mooresville area.  It will be open to all pre-op, post op, and support people regardless of the hospital or surgeon used.

I'm looking for WLS surgery folks at any stage or type of surgery that would be interested in attending.  Please let me know what day of the week that you could NOT attend.  I'll keep you posted as to the status.  I am looking for a place to hold meetings now.

Also, let me know if you would like to volunteer in some manner, as I'm looking for some help to get the group going.

Support groups are such an important part of the journey!!!

Thanks Tracy!  I am racking my brain thinking of a place to hold meetings.  Unfortunately, our clubhouse here requires $150 to hold meetings there.  Yuck!  LOL

I may look into the nearby libraries.

Good luck tomorrow - I know you'll do just fine - it's my granddaughter's 16th birthday, so it's a good day!  Please have someone text me to let me know how you did!

Hi Christie,  I live in Martinsville, so Mooresvile would be closer for me than Bloomington.  I do have some ties to folks there already though.  But if you get one started I may just go to both groups!  I would like to meet more of your that live closer to me.  I am pretty flexible so far as dates. My work has a meeting every other Thursday after work, starting this week, so Thursdays are not too good for me.   I go to Mooresville once a week to spend the night with my Mom, and the Bloomington meetings are the 1st Weds of each month.  Good luck getting it started, I would like to hear more. 

Mon and Wed are not good days for me.  Other than that I would come.

this is just an idea, but it work out for us here in Marion, you may want to check at a local YMCA about holding your support group meetings, they are wonderful here and do not charge us anything since they promote healthly living.
