Waiting for approval!!!

My doctor's office told me they submitted my pre-authorization on Tuesday.  I called the insurance company yesterday to see if they got it and they hadn't.    They were so nice though and told me to call back every day to check if I wanted to.  (BCBSIL)  Anyway, I just learned today from the doctor's office that the fax didn't go through til TODAY because the line was always busy when they tried.  Ugh!  The insurance company rep told me that sometimes it takes up to 48 hours for them to be able to see it in their system once the fax comes in.  Don't these people realize we don't have patience for administrative delay.    Just kidding.  Hope I hear something SOON Just venting....

I remember calling my insurance company to ensure they had received the paperwork and was shocked when I was told, "Yes, and congratulations on your upcoming surgery. It's all been approved." Hope it works as easily for you!!

Oh wow!  I do too.  Hey it looks like I was writing to you when you were writing to me.  :)  Cool. 

It was really quick when I got approved. Seemed like everything just fell into place much better than I could have imagined. I was notified within two days of mine going in. So hang in there and get ready for a wildddddddd ride!

I am anxiously awaiting.  I'm sure I'll have many more questions once it all gets scheduled. (is that fingers crossed?)  not sure.
