I am crying and I don't know why.  I feel angry but can't explain it.  Please tell me this is normal?  I am two weeks out from surgery tomorrow and I just feel emotionally NUTS.  I am all over the board, and feel out of control...

it's ok.  It's normal.  Your body is releasing the hormones that were trapped in the fat cells that you are now burning.  Plus, you're going to be emotional due to all the changes going on.

Just breathe....

Stacy I have been married to a pretty terriffic guy for 24 years.  We darn near never disagree or have arguments.  Soon after I had wls I snapped on  him and told him that "I wanted to take a knife and cut his heart out".  It was all over a comment he made to me that really didn't amount to a hill of beans but to me right then and there it certainly did.  I scared the poor guy and the next day when I had calmed down he made me reassure him that I wasn't going to try to hurt him while he was sleeping.  Its funny now but trust me it wasn't then.  So yeah, being a lil bit off in the head is normal.  If you are taking medication it might need to be adjusted, the ladies and gents here can tell you their experiences with different meds.

Crying = good....

Better then not crying and stuffing your mouth with unwanted food. But yeah, like others said it's normal. I remember crying everyday for two weeks straight.

My emotions were a little whacked out for a while, and I was very glad my dr gave me a 30 day scrip for Lexapro.  It really helped take the 'edge' off, and kept me calm to deal with all the new routines, changes, and all the other stuff I was dealing with.  I didn't renew the scrip, by the time I hit a month out, I felt very prepared and ready to tackle everything.

So yeah, it's totally normal!!

Yep, all normal.  I went from a raging hormonal beyoch to a puddle of tears within minutes...lasted a few weeks.  Not the most pleasant!  Prozac was my best friend!  You'll find your way, Stacy.  Hang in there!

I am going through the same thing.  I am 11 days out.  I am on an emotional rollercoaster.  Hang in there.
