Nervous about 1yr appt with Dr. Evanson

Last time I spoke with Dr. Evanson office was when I found out I was pg.  The nurse was extremely rude to me about getting pg 5.5 mos out and offered no advice or support.  She just told me to contact my ob.  I understand it's not ideal but people do get pg, even on birth control.   

I've lost no weight since my last appt and actually gained a few lbs with the pg. 

I went this morning and had all my 1 yr blood work done and my appt is on 10/22.  I about ready just to call and cancel. 

Any advice?

 

 

Don't cancel.  Your health is way more important than some rude nurse.  She is not speaking for Dr. Evanson,  she is speaking for herself.  Keep you appointment and let Dr. Evanson know that you don't appreciate his staff being rude.  You are paying him,  not the other way around.

I agree dont cancel your appointment!! Dr E is there to help you. You will need his advice to on the best way to take care  of YOu and the baby you are carrying. Some stupid remarks from a nurse should just be dismissed,.. This is between you and the Dr.s taking care of you.

Want me to come hold your hand? Cause I'm scared to death about my appt in December! I got the same reception from the nurse when I called. And the few times I've called back, she basically told me I was no longer their problem because I'm pregnant. To talk to my OB. Prime example is my B12 level. It dropped from the 600's to the 300's. OB thought it was ok because it was listed within the range for normal levels, but I know they want us RNY'ers to be higher. Hang in there, stick to your guns, and tell him that his wonderful surgical skills assisted you to having this miracle baby. I'm sure he can't say too much to that!

At least you have had your levels tested.  I just got my 1 yr blood work for my appt but I haven't had any levels tested prior.  I am curious to see where it is.  

I understand that it isn't what they want us to do but in the end...it's my body... whether it was an opps or not.   A little encouragement and advice would hurt.  I think I will make my hubby go and hold my hand on this one.

My levels were only checked because my OB wanted to monitor everything closely since Dr. E wasn't wanting to be involved anymore at this point. Hang in there and let me know how it goes.
