Good morning all...

I hope everyone had a good weekend. We got back home from the camp-out around 3:45 yesterday. It rained lightly Friday and Saturday. Naturally, since we were leaving yesterday, it was georgeous!

While I enjoyed talking with those who I did see..I am sorry that I didn't get to know Wendy more. I hope to get that opportunity at future events! I am so glad everyone was able to come. We got to meet some people that are just over the line in Michigan. They are on the over 50 board here on OH. We invited them to join us here. I hope that they do.

I talked with Hope and we are going to try to have more group activity type things planned for next year. Hope was also telling me of a place that might would be more appropriate for dinner in that at least we'd all get seated in the same room...and most likely, the same table. There are also some changes that will be taking place at the KOA itself such as adding cottages...which will be like the 2 room cabins, except they will have bathrooms. They are hoping to have two of them built and operational next year (at $95/night regular rate). There are also 2 lodges there that have lots of room and can sleep ~7-8 (I think more than that if they slept in sleeping bags in the carpeted loft). Those are $130/night. I don't think either of those prices include the group discount that Hope gives us. There is A MINIMUM of a month waiting list for the lodges and I look for the cottages to be that or more as well...so...when I let you know when the camp-out will be next year, you might want to book yours ASAP if you are interested in either of them. Well...if you are interested in a cabin (1 or 2 room) as well since they are limited as well.

I didn't sleep worth a crap last night and we have a dozen things to do today when I get home. So....I'm thinking that I just might not stay the whole day....

Have a good one!

The kids (including Terry.LOL) went swimming after we packed up and I kept my swollen bee stung foot in the nice cool water. It felt wonderful. Thendrove up across to Michigan to return my redbox..LOL and I picked up some Tylenol for my throbbing foot.
Don't forget if you plan on going to the state fair. Today in the star paper is a few admission coupn for the 13 and 14th I think. I think It's well worth picking up. Have a great day

Good morning everyone. I'm so glad you all had a good time camping. We missed you on the boards over the weekend. I have a busy day today, starting with a trainer appt this morning at 9:30. I have a dirty house to clean (my husband doesn't do much when I'm working), and my oldest has his 4th grade open house at school tonight since school starts tomorrow. I can't believe summer is over either Shanna! Where has the time gone?

Have a great day people... I have housecleanning to do.

I have deffinately figured out.. I didnt need WLS I just needed false teeth!! Food sucks... I can chew now but everything I put in my  mouth either tastes like sawdust or doesnt taste the same... even sweets are boring! I get the most satisfaction out of a popcycle..

Linda Kay my hubby got his dentures last March and I had surgery in July.  We neither one give a hoot about food any more.  This is our conversation daily.
Me: " Are you hungry, want some supper"?
Him: "I dont care what do you want to do"?
Me: "You decide, I need a yes or no"?
Him: "Go ahead and make something if you feel up to it, if not I can open a can of chili. Maybe I will eat before I go to bed"

Ugh ugh ugh lol.

I am off work today, and glad of it too.  Me, my sis, Sheila, and Sheila's cousin all went to Lawrenceburg Saturday night to the casino and I needed to sleep in today.  We stayed the night in the hotel there at the casino, its beautiful.  Had breakfast at the buffet before we left....yum!!  I had a bite of everything on the buffet I think lol.  Today I slept until after 9, boy that felt wonderful.

Today I need to straighten up my house and get a couple loads of laundry done.  Then get my son to Greenwood at 5 for drum lessons.  A quick trip to the mall for a few shirts for school.  I am also hoping I can talk him into a new pair of shoes for school.  He loves his shoes and doesn't want to switch but he has had them since school started last year.  He is NOT interested in clothes or shoes.

I am thinking Middleberry sounds like a really fun trip and had regrets that I didn't make plans to go with you all.  I believe next year I will put it on my "must do" list.

I took today off knowing I would need to catch up on chores I usually do on the weekends - like laundry.  Plus, figured I'd catch up on my sleep.  I did sleep in till almost 9!

Middlebury was fun, even if we did have rain.  Jeannie, it would be great if you joined us next year!  My only regret is that I didn't get to spend more time with Wendy - I only saw her at dinner Saturday night.  Since we were the only ones that had an RV there, we weren't with the rest of the group in tents and cabins.  However, I was extremely grateful for that RV when we had the rain!  The weather wreaked havoc with my sinuses... ouch!

We had to leave early Sunday as my FIL is in the VA hospital - his doctor called and said his kidney function was down to 17%.  Not good at all.  We wanted to get back so DH could go up to the hospital.  He seems to be feeling better today, so hopefully his numbers are looking better.

Well, time to climb back up Mt. Washmore!  Have a great day everyone.
