the septic saga continues

I tell you... it has just about been enough! After all of that repair work to fix the septic system, it now needs to be totally replaced. We do plan to take suit against the health inspector that approved our old system and now we will also have an issue with the repair work that he recommended we do due to the old system going out. He and the septic guy have been conversing together and this is what the inspector told he to do to our old system. They put 40 ton of dirt over the old finger system to bury it further since it wasn't code to begin with and then they redid the whole perimeter drain. They finished up last Thursday and Sat we had a flood or septic water in our yard, --- going into my garden even. So, the $3,700. we paid for the septic work was basically donated because we now need a whole new system that will be in excess of $5 grand. Then they can't put a new system in place of an old system. They have to move it and the only place is on the other side in back of our house with our back deck and driveway in between the old system and where the new one will most likely have to go.
The best thing about my day today is that the power went off at work and they let us go home so, I have the afternoon off. Finally got dishes and laundry caught up from being down with the house probs and so today I can relax. Ahhhhhhhhh  I just can't flush!   haha. Nah, we can flush but, not for much longer with this yard and now that the rain has come again.

Oh I am so sorry you are going through all of this. It has to be very frustrating to be told the wrong thing.I know it makes me angry when I am done that way!

I wondered how things were that way...I live south of terre haute so it was pretty bad here. We just got power back about 30 mins ago. There are tree limbs down and our street is a mess.

I will be thinking of you

Poor Johnna... that just STINKS!

I know how frustrating it is.  My ex and I had a house go thru that too.  And after 8 grand it was still not fixed right.  His problem now.

Huge hugs,
Tracy

Ugh!  That is terrible!  What a pain!  I'm so sorry that you are still dealing with all of this!
I have a shower, potty, and water to spare if you need it....and I'm just down the road!
I'm praying that this situation has a positive outcome in the end.  Hang in there, friend!

You are so sweet. We will get it all fixed sooner or later but, just having both the well and septic screw up... makes it hard $ wise. We are fortunate to have my father helping us with the cost. He wouldn't let us take an equity loan. Instead he is loaning us from his savings and we are going to make payments to him. I thank God for my parents, they have always been so good to me.
