I have an ulcer

 an anastomotic ulcer.  common after gastric bypass.  anyone else had one? anyone familiar with them?  what causes them? they are no fun!

I had/have a gastric ulcer (present in my pouch). You're right, they're not fun. I think mine has healed up, but I have never had my repeat endo to be sure. I just made sure to avoid things like citrus, tomato based products, caffeine, etc that would irritate it. Take your ulcer meds and eat right, it will heal up quickly. Hope you feel better soon.

I was on TPN and med for months before it finally healed.  I still cannot eat a lot of the things that would be normal for a RNY patient at this point and my quantity is still low but I feel much better now.  You will too just do what they tell you.
